Top Speed 195mph

Power 503PS

Vantage is raw and instinctive, unwavering in its singular purpose: to overwhelm the senses through its world-renowned design, agile performance and dedicated craftsmanship. Its heart beats with a high powered 4.0 litre twin-turbocharged V8, producing that visceral Aston Martin roar. A rare breed and a statement of independence on the road, Vantage embodies all that is beautiful in our performance sports car range.  Race track, winding country road or the everyday commute, Vantage is an Aston Martin of outstanding class, delivering a drive so intensely felt that it demands to be experienced time and time again.

UNMISTAKABLE PRESENCE

Like the archetypal hunter, everything has been finely tuned for a purpose. Sculptural forms create an athletic predatory stance, while muscular flanks and broad haunches express the agility and dynamism inherent to the car.

EXTERIOR

The shark inspired nose creates a very strong visual for the new Vantage.

The Front Splitter is an integral part of the car’s aerodynamic design which delivers true downforce, and assists cooling by feeding air to the braking system.

Ultraslim LED headlights are designed to give the Vantage a focused, purposeful expression.

The signature tailgate flip helps give the Vantage its downforce.

This signature Aston Martin feature is accentuated from rear view by the full width, ultra slim light graphic.

Beneath the rear lights the tailgate shutline has been hidden giving the impression of a seamless, uninterrupted sculpture.

The rear diffuser and central diffuser ducts help generate substantial downforce to keep the car planted to the road.

IMMERSIVE AND FOCUSED

The distinctive cockpit feel of the interior is one of absolute focus and functionality. A lower driving position creates a more immersive experience, intimately connecting the driver with the car and the road ahead.

The standard Vantage interior is trimmed in Alcantara and leather throughout, creating a high performance sports car feel.

The standard Sports Seats can be replaced by the optional Sports Plus Seats, which provide even more support for performance driving.

A STATEMENT OF INTENT

The signature ultra-slim rear light graphic illuminates the full-width of the tailgate, accentuated by the flick in the Vantages tail. It provocatively expresses the cars animalistic character in what is set to become an iconic symbol of performance.

The 685 Nm of torque is fed through a ZF 8 speed automatic transmission mounted at the back of the car. The gear box has specially developed software which provides short, crisp gear changes when required, and can also deliver the type of shift refinement and usability which is beyond that seen on dual clutch gear boxes.

By using 8 gears, this enables close ratios, which allow the engine to be kept in its most powerful/efficient speed range for longer depending on driver demand.

The gearbox’s adaptive software is designed to gauge the conditions the car is operating in, along with the demands the driver is making, to ensure the car is in exactly the right gear at the right time.

As opposed to the GT segment–where conventional automatic gearboxes dominate the market–the Sports Car segment features a wide variety of gearboxes, each with their own characteristics. It is important to understand the fundamentals of the competitor landscape to understand why Aston Martin have chosen the ZF 8 Speed gear box for the new Vantage.

VANTAGE ZF 8 SPEED

The ZF box features sophisticated software which allows our engineers to decide exactly how the gearshifts behave. Various sensors enable the gear box to determine the conditions the car is operating in, along with the demands being made from the car to ensure the gearbox has selected exactly the right gear for any given situation.

The gearbox’s broad range of capabilities means that it can deliver everything ranging from fast, sporting and exciting shifts at one end of the spectrum, right through to smooth, refined shifts when required.

THE PULSING HEART

The heart of Vantage beats with a 4.0 litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine. Impressive acceleration of 0-62 mph in 3.7 seconds and a speed of up to 195 mph deliver raw athleticism and an enticing performance feel.

DYNAMICS – OPEN DIFFERENTIAL

The New Vantage features Dynamic Torque Vectoring and– for the first time on an Aston Martin – an Electronic Rear Differential (E-Diff). This differential is linked to the car’s electronic stability control system, so it can understand the car’s behavior, and can react accordingly to direct the engine’s power to the relevant wheel. Unlike a conventional LSD, it can go from fully open to 100% locked in a matter of milliseconds. DTV significantly improves the car’s cornering capabilities and makes low to medium speed cornering far more satisfying. While the electronic differential’s control if oversteer and high speed lane change manoeuvres is also impressive, makes the car feel much more composed and stable at higher speeds.

The benefits of the limited slip differential are:

  • that it improves traction during acceleration out of corners and on slippery surfaces and improves agility whilst accelerating out of corners
  • it allows the car to make better use of the available traction before the DSC system needs to use throttle reductions and brake applications to take corrective action

The car can therefore put its power down on the road for longer.

Atop the cobblestone streets of Dumbo, Brooklyn- #NewYorkJets wide receiver Brandon Marshall posed with the stunning launch edition #AstonMartin #DB11.

Even before NY Jets’ player number fifteen took his place alongside the Cinnabar Orange DB11, lucky bystanders voluntarily stopped to stare at the beautiful Aston Martin dancing down Smith Street.  The background was dressed with the Manhattan Bridge and Brandon Marshall stood tall next to the glistening  V12 DB11 as Andrew Werner captured the moment.

DUMBO, standing for ‘down under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass’, is currently one of Brooklyn’s most talked about neighborhoods. With an art scene on the rise that’s impossible to ignore, this community, formally a manufacturing district, has now become a lively and eclectic area known for housing both large scale companies as well as independently owned. The area is fairly small (only 0.050 square miles!!) and many locals claim it’s easily navigable, with the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan Bridge in sight for reference, as you can see pictured above.

VZM.IMG_20170110_135754.jpg

The duo will cover Resident Magazine, in the hopes to raise awareness surrounding Borderline Personality Disorder, a cause Marshall stands for actively.

On July 30th, 2016 Brandon opened up to the public about his own diagnosis of this disease, and vowed to help others that are still suffering. He launched the charity Project Borderline, in order to fight the stigma so publicly tied with this disease, and to provide a life line to those fighting who may not have access to the same resources as himself.

Readers will be able to access the full story in Resident Magazine’s upcoming issue.  Resident Magazine embodies an aspirational luxury lifestyle. The best in travel, dining, real estate, celebrity news, fashion, and events from around the world. Located in Long Island City, NY their content ranges from style & fashion to dining & travel and all of the in-between.

Long Island Sports Cars is proud to support #ProjectBorderline in conjunction with Resident Magazine.  Stay tuned for the full story, but for now-check out the video below:

Long Island Sports Cars is proud to represent the Aston Martin and McLaren brands this year along with our inventory of vehicles of interest.

This year the car community joined together once again for the 8th Annual Gold Coast Concours/ Bimmerstock to support the Diabetes Research Institute .

In the early hours of the morning the Long Island Sports Cars team assembled and lined up our vehicles to cruise down to Glen Cove to support the community and to enjoy a day full of our favorite pastime, exotic cars.

14352439_1180952608610397_5079386950012632311_o

We had a mildly humid day with peaks of sunshine and an overall great turn out and support from the car community.  During the day thousands of spectators lined the streets to ogle the gleaming cars and listen to the roar of their powerful engines. Vehicles included but were not limited to an array of BMW’s specialty unique cars, Aston Martin, McLaren, Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, Ford GT, Porsche-the Porsche 918 Spyder (it was 9/18 so it was only appropriate).  There were also an array of Audi’s, Rolls Royce, Mercedes and rare one of a kind vehicles.

Since its inception Gold Coast Concours/Bimmerstock raised more than $410,000.00 for the research underway at the DRI.

Thank you to FullMotionNYC for the excellent photography.

The City of Glen Cove’s downtown business district will be closed for the day, as hundreds of exotic cars and BMWs are showcased. McLaren, Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, Ferrari, Rolls Royce, Porsche and Mercedes are among the exotic cars that will surely excite everyone from enthusiasts to fledgling fans. “It’s a great day for the community of Glen Cove, a great day for car buffs and a great day for the Diabetes Research Institute,” said Joe LaPadula of Martino Auto Concepts. He added, “We are proud to support the Diabetes Research Institute and to help educate the public about this disease through this exciting event.”

The Legacy of McLaren

“TO DO SOMETHING WELL IS SO WORTHWHILE THAT TO DIE TRYING TO DO IT BETTER CANNOT BE FOOLHARDY. IT WOULD BE A WASTE OF LIFE TO DO NOTHING WITH ONE’S ABILITY, FOR I FEEL THAT LIFE IS MEASURED IN ACHIEVEMENT, NOT IN YEARS ALONE.”- Bruce McLaren

untitledFrom Bruce McLaren’s first racing car, a little Austen Ulster, to the legendary road and racing cars that still bear his name, every McLaren tells a unique story.

Read more about the History and Legacy here: McLaren Heritage

HUMBLE BEGINNINGS

Born in Auckland, New Zealand, Bruce McLaren’s earliest competitive driving experience came at the wheel of a modified 1929 Austin Ulster. Bought in bits by his father who had planned to restore the car and sell it, 13-year-old Bruce convinced him they could turn it into a race car.

brucemclaren_20130412_00101

Involved in every stage of the Ulster’s restoration, the experience proved vital for the future race car designer. Two years later, in his race-prepared Ulster, 15-year-old Bruce set the fastest time in the 750cc class at the Muriwai Beach hill climb.

A DECADE OF SUCCESS

Seven years later, aged just 22, Bruce won his first Grand Prix. At the time he was the youngest-ever Grand Prix winner – a record that stood for over 40 years. The following year, he won the Argentinian Grand Prix and finished second in the Drivers’ Championship behind Jack Brabham.

For the next decade, Bruce McLaren remained one of the best drivers in the world. His popularity and enthusiasm for racing never diminished. What did change, however, was his ever-increasing influence over the world of motor racing.

McLAREN ENGINEERING

Bruce McLaren’s vision extended far beyond the driver’s seat. Engineer, designer, inventor, tester, Bruce was an automotive genius. He is one of only two men ever to win a Grand Prix in a racing car bearing his name. The motor racing company he started went on to become the most successful marque in Formula 1 history.

The success of McLaren’s race cars went beyond Formula 1™. There were victories in the Indianapolis 500 in 1972, 74 and 76. McLarens driven by Bruce and Denny Hulme also dominated the Can-Am series, winning five consecutive Constructors’ Championships between 1967 and 71.

mtc_20110821_0001

TRAGEDY AT GOODWOOD

During a test run at Goodwood on 2nd June 1970, the tail section on Bruce’s M8D lifted at 170mph. Spinning off the track, the car hit a protective embankment. Bruce was thrown from the wreckage and tragically lost his life. He was 32.

The team were told not to come to work the next day. Racers to their core, every one of the team turned up for work, and just 12 days later two McLaren M8Ds were on the grid for the start of the Can-Am series.

Dan Gurney was drafted in to replace Bruce. Despite having never driven the car before, Dan won the race. Denny Hulme, with bandaged hands after a fire in Indianapolis, finished third. In a glorious tribute to Bruce’s racing philosophy, the McLaren team won nine out of ten races that year.

Aston Martin: History of the wings

Evolution of an icon

The iconic wings badge has been synonymous with Aston Martin since 1927 when the original ‘AM’ logo was completely reformulated, with the Aston Martin name immersed within a new wings motif. Over the course of the 20th century a variety of adjustments were made to the design as the wings incorporated contemporary cues from each era. The most recent iteration of the badge came in 2003 as the launch of Aston Martin’s new global headquarters in Gaydon heralded a new chapter in the marque’s illustrious history.

Yes.  The McLaren 570S and Aston Martin DB11.  Being that the movie is being filmed somewhat on location in London it seems fitting to have two of the finest British racing automobiles defending their land and fighting the Decepticon army.

We are excited to see which vehicles make the final cut.  The film is scheduled to release June 23, 2017 but if you want to get your hands on your very own transformer, depositors will have to act quickly.
