Long Island Sports Cars welcomes The Red Arrows, also known as the Royal Airforce, as they continue on their North America Tour . #RedArrowsTour
Along the tour there will be :
- More than 20 displays
- 98 separate ground engagements
- 11 years since the Red Arrows last visited North America
- 108 people on tour, including pilots, engineers and support staff
- 12 Red Arrows Hawk aircraft and 1 Atlas A400M RAF transport aircraft
The Red Arrows’ Hawk T1 jets will be flown to North America over three days.
This is because, as primarily training aircraft, they were not intended to refuel in the air and do not have the range to make the transatlantic crossing in one sortie.
After leaving the team’s base of RAF Scampton in Lincolnshire, UK, they will be flown via several stops, including airfields in Scotland, Iceland and Greenland, before reaching Canada and eventually Halifax – the first major location of the tour.
Aston Martin Long Island has decorated a 2019 DB11 Volante in celebration of this moment in our brands history as the amazing Red Arrows display their exquisite technique and precision. Aston Martin Long Island partnered with Tag Heuer and their Fifth Avenue Boutique to celebrate a special moment in the brand partnership. From 6 to 9 PM the Aston Martin Long Island showroom and Long Island Sports Cars shop was filled with hand crafted vehicles, watches, and the likes of a very lively cocktail party. The creation of the 50 limited edition Tag Heuer edition DBS Superleggera provided a celebration of fine craftsmanship and luxury.
Just 50 of these stunning sports cars, finished in Monaco Black paint with red accents, will be available globally and built to a luxurious fixed specification.
Each of the 50 cars will be accompanied with a limited edition TAG Heuer watch, the DBS Edition Carrera Heuer 02. Powered by a Calibre HEUER 02 Automatic manufacture movement, to stay true to TAG Heuer commitment to its Swiss avant-garde savoir-faire, this exclusive timepiece presents a hexagonal cut-out face matching the grille of the DBS and an embossed black calf leather strap mirroring the leather inside the car. Like the car, the watch will have red detailing and will be strictly limited to 50 examples.
The DBS Superleggera was the perfect choice for this collaboration with TAG Heuer. Aston Martin’s Super GT with its 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 engine is the ultimate combination of style and power, utilising modern materials and precision craftsmanship. The car delivers an unforgettable driving experience and class-leading in-gear acceleration and the innovative aerodynamics meld beautifully with its compelling curves. Nicknamed “the brute in a suit”, the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera is immaculately styled, obsessively engineered and outrageously potent.
The Aston Martin DBS Superleggera TAG Heuer Edition is presented in Monaco Black paint with a satin black tinted carbon fibre roof, mirrors, vents, louvres, splitter and spoiler. The bespoke specification includes satin black 21” twin spoke wheels fitted with Pirelli P Zero tyres with a red accent to complement the red brake calipers. If the unique livery with red highlighting doesn’t give away the model type, the fender badge with TAG Heuer logo will do so.
Inside, the DBS boasts pure black leather and alcantra seats with red stitching and bespoke TAG Heuer quilting, each displaying the TAG Heuer logo, and carbon fibre and dark chrome has been used throughout to accentuate the clean lines of the cockpit.
To celebrate the night and all of the beautiful design both Tag Heuer and Aston Martin encompass we hand selected an array of pieces to showcase including the Tag Aston Martin Collection. Alongside the beautiful cars and watches there was a whiskey tasting to enjoy paired with farm to table food choices. As guests exited the watch display and entered into our garage and shop area they were greeted by the musical talents of Leah Laurenti and our watch maker display. There were many highlights of the evening.

6th Annual Cars & Coffee

The day we look forward to all year; Our annual Cars & Coffee. With weather on our side, the Long Island Sports Cars team organized a brunch to remember. With temperatures in the 60’s just before 8:30 am on the Gold Coast you can hear the rumble of engines revving up and down Northern Blvd.
At just the peak of 9 am the parking lot is full. Enthusiasts and owners made their way to Long Island Sports Cars for a nice Sunday morning Cars & Coffee. We enjoyed crepes prepared by Whole Le Crepe and made to order omelettes while discussing our favorite cars and every reason we enjoy them. Of course there was delicious coffee from our friends at SailAway Coffee and Bai5 juices to enjoy. This year we even kicked off the morning with Moet & Mimosas in our Bang & Olufsen lounge.
Guests parked their cars for display and enjoyed conversing with like minded enthusiasts while also enjoying the showroom full of rare vehicles on display. This year’s display included the La Ferrari, Enzo Ferrari, SLR McLaren, McLaren Senna, McLaren P1, Aston Martin DBS Superlegerra, Aston Martin DB11 AMR, Aston Martin Vantage, Aston Martin DB11 Volante, Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Volante and the Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Speedster.
The display both indoors and outdoors was one for the books and we are already looking forward to next year’s event!

UNMISTAKABLE PRESENCE
Like the archetypal hunter, everything has been finely tuned for a purpose. Sculptural forms create an athletic predatory stance, while muscular flanks and broad haunches express the agility and dynamism inherent to the car.
EXTERIOR
The shark inspired nose creates a very strong visual for the new Vantage.
The Front Splitter is an integral part of the car’s aerodynamic design which delivers true downforce, and assists cooling by feeding air to the braking system.
Ultraslim LED headlights are designed to give the Vantage a focused, purposeful expression.
The signature tailgate flip helps give the Vantage its downforce.
This signature Aston Martin feature is accentuated from rear view by the full width, ultra slim light graphic.
Beneath the rear lights the tailgate shutline has been hidden giving the impression of a seamless, uninterrupted sculpture.
The rear diffuser and central diffuser ducts help generate substantial downforce to keep the car planted to the road.
IMMERSIVE AND FOCUSED
The distinctive cockpit feel of the interior is one of absolute focus and functionality. A lower driving position creates a more immersive experience, intimately connecting the driver with the car and the road ahead.
The standard Vantage interior is trimmed in Alcantara and leather throughout, creating a high performance sports car feel.
The standard Sports Seats can be replaced by the optional Sports Plus Seats, which provide even more support for performance driving.
A STATEMENT OF INTENT
The signature ultra-slim rear light graphic illuminates the full-width of the tailgate, accentuated by the flick in the Vantages tail. It provocatively expresses the cars animalistic character in what is set to become an iconic symbol of performance.
The 685 Nm of torque is fed through a ZF 8 speed automatic transmission mounted at the back of the car. The gear box has specially developed software which provides short, crisp gear changes when required, and can also deliver the type of shift refinement and usability which is beyond that seen on dual clutch gear boxes.
By using 8 gears, this enables close ratios, which allow the engine to be kept in its most powerful/efficient speed range for longer depending on driver demand.
The gearbox’s adaptive software is designed to gauge the conditions the car is operating in, along with the demands the driver is making, to ensure the car is in exactly the right gear at the right time.
As opposed to the GT segment–where conventional automatic gearboxes dominate the market–the Sports Car segment features a wide variety of gearboxes, each with their own characteristics. It is important to understand the fundamentals of the competitor landscape to understand why Aston Martin have chosen the ZF 8 Speed gear box for the new Vantage.
VANTAGE ZF 8 SPEED
The ZF box features sophisticated software which allows our engineers to decide exactly how the gearshifts behave. Various sensors enable the gear box to determine the conditions the car is operating in, along with the demands being made from the car to ensure the gearbox has selected exactly the right gear for any given situation.
The gearbox’s broad range of capabilities means that it can deliver everything ranging from fast, sporting and exciting shifts at one end of the spectrum, right through to smooth, refined shifts when required.
THE PULSING HEART
The heart of Vantage beats with a 4.0 litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine. Impressive acceleration of 0-62 mph in 3.7 seconds and a speed of up to 195 mph deliver raw athleticism and an enticing performance feel.
DYNAMICS – OPEN DIFFERENTIAL
The New Vantage features Dynamic Torque Vectoring and– for the first time on an Aston Martin – an Electronic Rear Differential (E-Diff). This differential is linked to the car’s electronic stability control system, so it can understand the car’s behavior, and can react accordingly to direct the engine’s power to the relevant wheel. Unlike a conventional LSD, it can go from fully open to 100% locked in a matter of milliseconds. DTV significantly improves the car’s cornering capabilities and makes low to medium speed cornering far more satisfying. While the electronic differential’s control if oversteer and high speed lane change manoeuvres is also impressive, makes the car feel much more composed and stable at higher speeds.
The benefits of the limited slip differential are:
- that it improves traction during acceleration out of corners and on slippery surfaces and improves agility whilst accelerating out of corners
- it allows the car to make better use of the available traction before the DSC system needs to use throttle reductions and brake applications to take corrective action
The car can therefore put its power down on the road for longer.

Retractable Hardtop – Using the same mechanism as our supercars, the lightweight retractable hardtop takes just 15 seconds to disappear neatly into the beautifully crafted tonneau deck, even when you’re driving at speeds up to 40km/h.
Carbon Fibre Construction – One of the many McLaren technologies the Sports Series shares with its Formula 1™ cousins is its carbon fibre construction. Dihedral Doors – The dihedral doors are an iconic design feature on every McLaren. As well as making it easier to get in and out, these intricate doors guide air into the side intakes to feed the radiators.
The seven-speed gearbox, 3.8 twin-turbo V8, the brake steer system and the simplified suspension with front and rear anti-rollbars are all there- just like in the 570S. The adaptive dampers come with softer settings optimized for road usage instead of heavy track duty.

DB11 Volante : Return of the Ultimate Convertible Sports GT

Volante is a name that can only be attributed to convertible cars bearing the iconic Aston Martin wings badge. The first public appearance of an Aston Martin Volante came at the 1965 London Motor Show, attached to an interim model that made use of the 37 remaining DB5 chassis. Since that moment, the Volante name has been a permanent fixture in Aston Martins history with a rich heritage that spans a range of models and 52 years of production.
Elegantly crafted
The interior of the DB11 Volante is a beautiful, calm and private space with the roof up. Natural materials and craftsmanship provide a luxurious and comfortable environment. Opening the roof then lifts the lid on the magnificent V8 power plant, ensuring that blue-sky driving is as thrilling as ever from the comfort of the DB11s cabin. A philosophy built around a fearless design philosophy has led to the DB11’s iconic overall look.
Volante Roof
The Volante’s “K-Fold” roof is an all-new design with zero carry over from DB9. It enables a beautifully sculpted roof line when up, mainting the DB11’s aesthetic side profile. The soft-top Volante roof is avialbale in a range of eight colours, to enable maximum personlisation opportunities. There is one Primary colour available as standard, Obsidian Black, six Contemporary colours and two new special colour choices.
The DB11 Volante roof canopy is acoustically enhanced and incorporates eight layers of insulation materials for improved interior cabin comfort. The stack height of the roof is a class leading 260mm, allowing for a beautifully smooth rear profile.
The roof operation takes 14 seconds to open and 16 seconds to close, matching the DB9 performance.
Windscreen Surround
The Windscreen surround is a customisable feature on the new DB11 Volante. As standard this comes painted in body colour, and is available optionally painted in Gloss Black. This allows customers to add a unique element of contrast to the exterior of the car and is only available to the DB11 Volante.
Forged Alloy Wheels
For the first time on DB11, forged alloy wheels are optionally available in a Y-spoke design. Available in three colours; Silver, Gloss Black and Champagne, all with a diamond turned finish help balance the curves and creases of DB11s elegant bodywork.
Designed for life
With a luggage compartment that can swallow two golf bags, this exhilarating Grand Tourer fits perfectly with your lifestyle. Compared to the previous DB models, the door apertures are much larger. Occupants of the front seat enjoy 10 mm of extra headroom, while rearwards, a 54 mm increase in headroom and 87 mm more legroom mean DB11 is a true 2+2 automobile.
