Top Secret: 720S Party
A top secret McLaren Event was thrown on the warmest Spring night in April by Long Island Sports Cars. The Event was highly exclusive and included an elite guest list totalling one hundred people. Invitations were sent out offering little information aside from location, time, and a line reading “You’re Invited, Top Secret”.
Upon arrival guests were escorted inside and down a set of stairs in an otherwise unassuming building. At the bottom of the staircase was a single doorway leading to the mysteriously undisclosed Event. Once through the threshold the room opened up to reveal one of the most sought after and highly collectible car collections in the world.
A McLaren fleet including the 720, p1, 675LT, LT Spider, 570S and 570GT were present. In the center of the room was an F1 driven by James Hunt and Emerson Fittipaldi which was started up upon request as the party unfolded.
The Aston Martin Vulcan was in the mix of the collection, only one of twenty five in the world. Another big hit was the Ferrari model driven in the famous “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off”, the 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider. There was a beautiful array of people, all sharing the common thread of a passion for impeccable collectible models.
Long Island houses some of the most highly acclaimed collections that are usually tucked away to their respective locations, Long Island Sports Cars decided to reveal one collection to our most elite customers with a catered party.
