With only few hours left in the drive between Long Island Sports Cars’ fourteen owners and guests and Monticello Motor Club’s track, Monday morning was off to a great start. We were all excited and eagerly awaiting or first hot lap around the 4.1 mile track in our super cars.
Monticello Motor Club, North America’s Premier Automotive Country Club and Private Race Track, features 4.1 miles of smooth race-grade asphalt dedicated to the driving pleasure of its members – individuals and families who are passionate about motorsports, who relish the driving experience, and who seek a place of belonging among like-minded people. Just 90 minutes from New York City, MMC is more than a race track. It is a luxury family destination with an array of services and amenities, such as professional instruction, track-side support, premium car storage, racecar rentals, a complete karting facility, an expansive off-road course, private race schools for novice to experienced track enthusiasts, corporate entertainment, fine dining, and five-star services.
Each guest that day was paired with their own private instructor who acted as both a co pilot as well as a coach on how to put their super car to the test.
Mid day we enjoyed a great spread while we watched actual footage from the 675LT on the monitors inside of the Motor Club member area. After hours of traveling around the track we figured why not unleash our inner child to his or her maximum potential-we went go karting.
Long Island Sports Cars will host a second and final track day for 2016 during the Fall. Until then, here is some behind the scenes footage for your viewing pleasure:
